Movers in Atlanta β€” based 30 minutes north.

Atlanta is the most logistically demanding city we work β€” high-rise condos in Midtown, walk-up brownstones in Inman Park, freight elevators in Buckhead, tight one-way streets in West End. Every neighborhood plays by different rules. We know the buildings, we bring the COIs, and we move at the pace the city requires.

About Atlanta

Moving in Atlanta β€” what to know.

Atlanta isn’t one move β€” it’s twenty different moves under one zip code. A Midtown high-rise move means freight elevator reservations, a 90-minute window, and a building manager who’ll shut you down if the COI isn’t on file 48 hours ahead. An Inman Park bungalow means a 1920s doorway you have to angle the couch through. A Buckhead condo means valet coordination and a porte-cochΓ¨re you can’t block for more than 20 minutes. We work all of it weekly.

Most of our Atlanta moves are between intown rentals β€” Midtown to Old Fourth Ward, Buckhead to Brookhaven, Cabbagetown to Reynoldstown. We also run the intown-to-suburbs upgrade (kids, schools, more square footage) and the reverse downsize (empty-nesters leaving the OTP house for a walkable Midtown condo). Both directions, we know the route.

If you’re moving in or out of an Atlanta building, the move starts before the truck does. We handle the building paperwork β€” COIs, elevator reservations, parking permits β€” so the day-of runs clean.

Neighborhoods We Cover

From I-285 to the perimeter β€” every Atlanta neighborhood.

If your neighborhood isn’t on this list, ask us anyway. We probably cover it. Our crews work the full I-285 perimeter and out to the OTP suburbs.

How we got there

Why a range? Atlanta traffic, building access, and how packed you are all matter. The price you see is the price you pay. If we finish faster, you pay less.

Services Available in Atlanta

Five services. One Atlanta crew.

Why Atlanta Picks Us

Three things matter more on an Atlanta move.

01

We know the traffic.

Lawrenceville to Buckhead at 3pm vs. 5pm is a 45-minute difference. We schedule around the I-285 and I-75 reality, not against it. Less time on the clock for you.

02

High-rises and walk-ups.

Atlanta has both. Buckhead Tower needs a freight elevator booking, your Cabbagetown bungalow needs a stairs game-plan. We’ve worked every kind of building in this city.

03

Owner answers, even on Atlanta days.

Stuck in traffic? Building won’t open the dock? The owner answers his phone β€” not a 1-800 number routed through three call centers.

What’s different about Atlanta

Atlanta move logistics β€” what we plan for.

Every city plays by different rules. Here’s what we know about Atlanta before we send the truck.

01

Building paperwork is non-negotiable

Most Atlanta condo and apartment buildings require a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming the building as additionally insured. We issue these free of charge β€” but the building needs it 48 hours ahead. Tell us your building name when you book.

02

Parking permits and tow zones

Midtown, Buckhead, and parts of Old Fourth Ward have meter-fed loading zones that need permits from ATL DOT. We’ll tell you which zones need a permit and which can be coned off β€” and we never block a fire lane.

03

Elevator reservations

High-rises reserve freight elevators in 2-hour blocks. If your move runs long and the next block isn’t yours, the building will shut us down. We always book a buffer and start on time.

04

Stair-only walk-ups

Lots of intown rentals are 3rd-floor walk-ups with no elevator. We staff for it β€” usually a 3-man crew minimum for any walk-up over the 2nd floor β€” so the move doesn’t slow to a crawl on the staircase.

Scenarios

Three moves we run in Atlanta every month.

Pattern recognition from years of work in Atlanta β€” these are the typical moves we plan for.

01

Midtown high-rise to Buckhead condo

Classic intown lateral move. Freight elevators on both ends, two sets of COIs, valet coordination at the Buckhead destination. Usually a 3-man, 4-hour move with packing materials.

02

Atlanta apartment to OTP single-family

Young family upgrade β€” apartment in Midtown to a 4-bedroom in Smyrna, Decatur, or Brookhaven. Smaller pickup, larger drop. Almost always a 3-man crew with a few pieces of new furniture being delivered the same day.

03

Out-of-state corporate relocation

Atlanta hires a lot of out-of-state professionals β€” tech, film, finance. We handle the inbound Atlanta side of long-distance moves, including the building paperwork and the building’s first-day rules.

Atlanta FAQ

Questions we get from Atlanta customers every week.

Can you handle a high-rise move (e.g. Buckhead, Midtown)?
Yes. We handle freight elevator bookings, COI submissions to building management, and the timing windows most high-rises require. Mention the building when you book and we’ll handle the paperwork side.
How do you handle Atlanta traffic on move day?
We schedule around it, not against it. Mid-day starts (10am–2pm) usually beat morning rush both ways. For longer moves, we recommend early starts to clear I-285 before the afternoon. We’ll suggest a window when you book.
Do I need a parking permit for downtown Atlanta?
For some streets, yes β€” particularly in Old Fourth Ward, Inman Park, and parts of Midtown. We’ll let you know in advance whether your specific address needs one and walk you through how to pull it (usually online via the Atlanta DOT for a small fee).
What’s the rate for an Atlanta local move?
$325 for 2 movers + truck (2-hour minimum). $415 for 3 movers, $525 for 4 movers. Hourly rate after the minimum is $110, $165, or $220 depending on crew size β€” billed in 15-minute increments. Full rate sheet here β†’
Do you cover [neighborhood]?
If you’re inside I-285 or in any of the in-town neighborhoods (Brookhaven, Vinings, Westside, etc.), yes. If you’re not sure, text us your ZIP β€” we’ll confirm in 5 minutes.
How fast can you book me in Atlanta?
Same-day or next-day bookings happen most weekdays. Weekend slots fill faster β€” earliest you can lock a Saturday is usually 7–14 days out.
Do you do Atlanta-to-suburb (or vice versa) moves?
Yes. Atlanta to Alpharetta, Roswell, Decatur, Lawrenceville, Smyrna, and the rest of metro all run on local rates as long as both ends are within metro Atlanta. Same hourly billing, same 2-hour minimum.
Are you actually based in Atlanta?
Lawrenceville β€” about 30 minutes north of downtown. Owner-operated since 2015. Our trucks live here, our crews live here, our HQ phone rings here. No call center in Texas.
Do you handle high-rise condo moves with freight elevator reservations?
Yes β€” Midtown, Buckhead, downtown, all of it. Tell us the building name and we’ll handle the COI and elevator booking with the building manager directly.
How do you handle Atlanta parking and tow zones?
We cone off the closest legal spot at the loading curb. For Midtown/Buckhead metered zones that require an ATL DOT permit, we’ll either pull the permit (small fee passed through) or stage from the nearest free zone. We don’t park in tow zones.
What’s the rate for a walk-up apartment move?
Same hourly rate as any move β€” $325/2-man, $415/3-man, $525/4-man, 2-hour minimum. We don’t charge stair fees, but we’ll recommend a 3-man crew for anything above the 2nd floor so it doesn’t drag.
